Schedule of Events

A full programme of events has been organised to take place during the visit of the Relic of St Therese beginning on Friday 30th August until Sunday 1st September with the Parish Church being open constantly during this time.

It is expected that the Grotto will welcome thousands of pilgrims from across the country during these days. Please take note of the various events taking place and feel very welcome to join us at the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes during these special days of prayer.

Holy Mass – Homilist Canon John Udris of the Archdiocese of Birmingham, expert on the Life of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux followed by a Torchlight Procession to the Shrine of Saint Thérèse in the Grotto and the opportunity to receive an individual blessing with the Relic of Saint Thérèse

Night Prayer of the Church (Compline)

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

The Rosary, led by the clergy and members of different apostolic groups, will be recited each hour on the hour throughout the night until 7am.

Solemn Mass for the National Pilgrimage in honour of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux in the Grotto. Celebrant and Homilist Bishop Joseph Toal. At the conclusion of Holy Mass, the Solemn Farewell to the Relics Saint Thérèse of Lisieux.

The Church will be opened continuously from 9am on Friday until 6pm on Sunday

The Chapels and Shrines in the Grotto will be opened from 10am until 9pm each day
