During the Rite of Admission to Candidacy for Holy Orders, men discerning for the priesthood, who have reached a certain stage in their formation, publicly express their intention of receiving holy orders, and that intention is recognized by the bishop. AND John Paul McShane, a parishioner of Our Lady and Saint Francis was addmitted as a candidate to Holy Orders last Sunday (seventh sunday of Easter) as Oscott College, Birmingham. He is picture with Bishop O'Toole of Plymouth and some of his fellow seminarians.
